Options are provided for the change in uplift pressure along lift joints when cracking occurs during (a) Static Analyses (normal operating conditions, unusual and flood cases), (b) Seismic analyses and (c) Post-seismic analysis. In addition, parametric analyses for sensitivity studies can be performed for user-defined load combinations.

Figure 168

Effectiveness of uplift pressures: These coefficients allow the user to reduce the lift-joint surface area subjected to uplift pressures for two distinct conditions: sound surfaces and cracked surfaces. A coefficient of 0.85 means that 85% of the lift joint surface will be subjected to uplift pressures.
