CADAM3D-en

CADAM3D supports metric and imperial units. Under the metric system, the force unit is kilo-Newton, the length is measured in meters and the pressures in kilo-Pascal, while under the imperial system, the unit of force is kilo-Pound (kip), the length is in feet and the pressure is in kilo-Pound per square foot (ksf). If the user has undertaken the definition or analysis of a model under a given unit system, he or she can change the model at any time using the drop-down list in the top left corner of the Model menu. The following table summarizes partially the correspondence between the two-unit systems. Some multipliers are affected by the gravitational constant (g = 9.80665 m/s2).
